Rusbayo

Nestled between two mountain ranges in the outback of Sonara, Mexico is the village of Rosbayo. Here in this community about 60 families live in about a fifteen mile radius. Taking a trip to this area is like taking a step back in time where you are more likely to encounter a horse or a team of mules plowing a field than an automobile or tractor. Due to the remote location and lack of adequate numbers of children there is no opportunity for the older children in this area to be educated without going to live in a larger distant city for the school year. Some still choose to do this.

How Does Concern Help?

Concern sends $100 each month to Francis Kubb to put together four food boxes and deliver them to families who are in need. In these boxes there are basic items meals can be made with like; pasta, rice, beans, canned meat, flour/sugar, and a package of cookies.

Concern and their mission teams before going down will work to put together hygiene kits for families who live in the community. While there during their trip they will put on a community dinner with a biblical skit, crafts for the kids and toys for them to take home and will hand out the hygiene kits they put together to each family.

During the mission trip from the summer of 2022, one of the groups went and visited Rosbayo and was able to pass out a few food boxes to families.
